From traditional classical music to easy-listening jazz, classical pop, or modern music, our solo violinist Jai Schelbach has built up a reputation over the last twenty-plus years for specialising in composing and arranging beautiful song arrangements for strings.

A wedding ceremony package includes prelude music as guests arrive, ceremony music, and postlude music after the ceremony.

60 Minute Ceremony Package Example

For those having a civil service, the 60 minute package tends to be the most popular option as it allows time for music before, during, and a little after as the guests congregate with the happy couple.

20 minutes of pre-ceremony music as your guests arrive.
Time for a civil ceremony, which includes playing the processional, a couple of songs for the signing, and a recessional song to exit.
As long as the bride doesn't arrive too fashionably late, there is usually time for music after the ceremony as you congregate with your guests to take a group photo.
Jai can relocate to another area of the venue as needed.

If you would like extended music outside of what is above (e.g., 30 minutes of music before OR 30 minutes of music after) or if you're having a longer ceremony (such as a religious Mass) it is suggested that you book in 75-90 minutes to allow for the extra time allocation.

If you would like Jai to continue playing after the ceremony (e.g. canapés), as long as it's at the same venue, Jai is happy to relocate and continue playing. Please reach out for a quote if you want to discuss.

Add Special Song Request

Do you have a special song? Jai may be able to arrange your song for an additional fee. One months notice is required for this service to allow sufficient time and not all songs are suitable for strings, so these requests are to Jai's discretion.

HELPFUL BOOKING TIPS

You don't need to have any music chosen when booking - this can be confirmed later.
We recommend having a wet weather plan if your event is outdoors, as we cannot have a violin in the rain. Please also ensure there is shade; the violin is easily heat-damaged.
Wedding ceremonies have a minimum booking time of 60 minutes as you pay for physical time, not performing time.
For religious/nuptial weddings they have a wonderful sense of grandeur and tradition, but they do run longer and require additional music (e.g. 1-2 hymns, a communion song). The minimum booking time is 75 mins, which is non-negotiable.
Choose your booking time carefully. We'll do our best to stay if your event runs overtime, but this can't be guaranteed. Also, overtime fees may be charged in 15-minute increments.
Your booking may be associated with a travel fee depending on the location, so if you're unsure, please contact us for an accurate quote.
Signature Strings requires a deposit of $200 to secure the date. The balance is due one week before the event. Your deposit is non-refundable but fully transferrable.
